WATER TREATMENT

To keep water consistently clean and healthy, simple filtration is not enough; It is also necessary to apply a treatment to eliminate viruses and bacteria.

Quality water must not only be disinfected, but must also act as a disinfectant agent, which implies a residual action. Even if bathers maintain impeccable hygiene, this does not prevent bacteria from entering the pool.

There are several effective products to treat water.

Chlorine: is the most commonly used product. It is highly effective in eliminating bacteria, viruses and microorganisms, as well as algae. However, its effectiveness decreases when the pH of the water is high, since pH is a measure of the acidity of the water, and chlorine is sensitive to UV rays. Bromine: is less sensitive to UV rays and temperature than chlorine, which is why it is widely used in spas. An important advantage is that it remains effective even at high pH. Electrolysis: represents a form of chlorine treatment with a particularly interesting process. The salt present in the water is converted into chlorine using an electric current. This chlorine is highly reactive and, most importantly, does not produce chloramines, which are responsible for odor and sometimes allergies. Chlorine is regenerated to become salt again, and so on. The result is minimal salt consumption. Electrolysis devices are autonomous, allowing the treatment to be programmed. If not already implemented, it is recommended to combine them with pH regulation systems, as they tend to increase the pH.
